Today (7th January, 2009) a group of Binghamton University (State University of New York- Binghamton) students and faculty will arrive in India. For our 27 students and 1 faculty (Professor Danielle Dunne), this is their first time in India. They will visit New Delhi, Punjab (Jalandhar), Chandigarh (the shared capital of Punjab and Haryana), and Uttar Pradesh (Agra, the seat of the Taj Mahal). They will stay here 11 days. During their time in India, they will get a chance to ride on an elephant, sit on a camel, see the Qutub Minar and Taj Mahal, eat Indian food, meet Indian people in casual and official settings, try out a rickshaw, bathe with a bucket and mug (Indian style), and wear Indian clothes.
These students will make blog postings on this website about their experiences and travels in India. Stay tuned to read what they think about what they see!
